I went for a walk today with my friend who lives upstairs. She has two dogs and we took them down to the dog path near the water. It was a gloriously sunny day although windy some. The view over the water to Stanley Park was pretty with low lying clouds on the trees.
It's days like this, when I am down by the water, that I really miss boating.
Regardless, times like this it's pretty nice living in Vancouver. But I still miss the Caribbean.
Pretty dang beautiful! I am hoping to do a similar thing and learn some boating lessons. Fishing, boating, sailing, whatever. I may have the opportunity to go with my gf and work in the Bahamas. That could be some adventure!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring stuff. Phone you make it back to the Caribbean!
Working in the Bahamas....wow that would be amazing. I hope you get to do it and be sure to take every opportunity to get out on the water. It's like nothing else.
DeleteWhat an adventure! It sounds like you really enjoyed the caribbean. I am very jealous. I hope to get down to the Bahamas and work with the bohemians. :) I would love to hear more about your adventures.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with the Caribbean - it's paradise on earth. Don't be jealous!! You are heading out on an amazing adventure and there's no reason the Caribbean can't be part of it!! Don't pass it by.

Maybe go down to a yacht club and ask if anyone needs crew? Around here there are sailing races even in the winter. At one of the marinas in Seattle there is a special place on the dock for people who just want to crew on a boat so they can ride along. Might be a way to get out on that pretty water! Glad you have the sunshine, too!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea. I think I need to do that. I don't know if there is a special place for people who want to crew but I need to find out. Thanks for the idea!
