I wanted to shake up my life and go sailing (or learn on the job, so-to-speak) so headed to Florida to crew on a catamaran. This is about how it went or, rather, didn't - and my life since. Hopefully it will lead to a catamaran on the clear aqua blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, watching the sunset, a coconut rum and coke in hand. You must START AT THE BEGINNING of the blog, April 2009, to get the whole story...

I LOVE FLIP FLOPS
In the ongoing attempt to make my mountain home feel more like a beach cottage, I made a summery wreath to hang on the gate at the entrance to my place.
I have since trimmed the big gerbera daisies down to the size of the other ones and it looks much better. I love the splash of colour it gives to an otherwise fairly monochromatic (green) scene.

Amazon Store
Here's my Amazon Store called Sandra's Selections, full of my favourite things and constantly updating it as I discover more fav's. It's more for fun than anything as I've never made a cent off of it.
Very nice.....
ReplyDeleteSandy,
ReplyDeleteWhere did you go? I miss reading about your life journey.
Rod
Hi Rod... before this post I posted about maybe giving up writing the blog as it's a fair bit of work and I wasn't sure I had the readership to justify the effort. I asked people to respond if they'd like to see the blog continue and I think I got 7 replies. So that told me what I needed to do. I miss writing in a way because it was like a journal for me where I could look back on all my adventures. Since I quit I have spent a month in the Dominican Republic and a month in Nashville TN... so still traveling. Just not documenting it anymore.
DeleteThank you for the update. I hadn't checked in on you in a while and wondered how you were doing. I hope all is well and that you are having many adventures. You deserve lots of fun for sharing all that you did with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I appreciate it! I might take this blog back up some day sooner than later as I really do miss having a log of my travels. Meanwhile, go take a look at my brand new FaceBook page called Sandy Beach Bum. I am trademarking the name and hope to turn it into something special in the future. Thanks again! x
